We're back from a quick trip to Vegas to take in a few shows and eat really good food. I only took the Fujifilm X100 this trip and it was an odd feeling walking around without a big ol' camera rig, but it was also lots of fun. The smaller camera made it easier to shoot quickly at a fairly high ISO, but composing without a zoom was something that took some getting used to again. Good memories of early film days.

There's a few new places that have popped up on the strip too. I think at one point I may have been in a relationship with the young lady below...

And of course what trip to Vegas would be complete without the obligatory strippers. Of course I didn't expect that they'd be 20 feet tall. I felt so inadequate.

On a more serious note, over the next two weeks I'm going to be planning for the trip to New England, heading to the center of flood ravaged Vermont, as well as Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. I'd originally planned on going to photograph the fall foliage, but I'm sure there will be compelling stories to be told by the people who are still dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Irene.
